Birth Doula.

I provide customized labor support as you welcome your child into the world. My service package consists of:

• Two prenatal visits (the goal of our first visit is to get to know one another and discuss/form your birth plan, and the goal of the second visit is to do hands-on practice of comfort measure techniques and do a “mini childbirth education” review)

• On-call availability 2 weeks before & after your due date

• Hands on support during your labor & delivery

• One to two postpartum visits.

• Unlimited support via phone, text, and email throughout your pregnancy and 4th trimester

Postpartum Support.

The fourth trimester brings so much transition. To come out of this transition triumphant, we need many hands. There will be plenty of hands willing to hold your baby, cuddle your baby, and bring your baby gifts. But whose hands will clean, cook, tackle the laundry pile, grocery shop, pick up prescriptions, help with nursing/pumping, finish organizing the nursery, run errands that are on the back-burner, care for baby so you can sleep, handle the chores that a cesarean have made impossible? Mine! Postpartum care really varies/ is customized based on your particular experience. I charge an hourly rate for postpartum support hours and we can discuss hours/ schedule needed.

Lactation Counseling.

For some, nursing is second-nature, and for others, there is a learning curve. As an ALPP Certified Lactation Counselor, I can offer you evidence-based lactation support to address any challenges you may encounter (latch issues, discomfort, production concerns, etc). Human milk is the ultimate nutrition source and I am passionate about ensuring that babies receive this liquid gold! The benefits, for baby AND mom, truly last a lifetime. My lactation counseling sessions typically last 1-2 hours (depending on your needs) in the comfort of your home and are billed at an hourly rate.

Childbirth Education.

I am in the process of becoming a certified childbirth educator! Once I complete this goal, I will be offering group and individual childbirth classes. Check back later for updates!

Placenta Encapsulation.

I am trained to encapsulate placentas according to Traditional Chinese Medicine Technique. Placentophagy is practiced by many cultures around the world and there is currently research underway exploring the benefits of doing so. Some anecdotal benefits include postpartum mood and anxiety improvement, increased energy and attention, increased milk supply, and quicker physical recovery from labor & delivery. I adhere to OSHA regulations of safe handling and disposal of human tissue and the Department of Health regulations for consumables preparation. This service consists of pick up of your placenta, the preparation and encapsulation process, and drop off. Turn-around time is typically 2-3 days.
